A growing organization is seeking an experienced Head of Sanitation to oversee sanitation programs and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance within a production facility. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing sanitation policies and procedures, training staff, and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal sanitation regulations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of sanitation best practices, exceptional organizational skills, and a high level of attention to detail. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment that supports overall operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sanitation policies and procedures
- Manage sanitation department budget and track related expenses
- Oversee day-to-day sanitation operations and lead sanitation personnel
- Train staff on proper sanitation and cleaning procedures
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal sanitation regulations
- Conduct routine inspections across facility areas to maintain sanitation standards
- Identify and address sanitation issues promptly and effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain overall facility cleanliness
- Prepare and deliver monthly reports on sanitation activities and performance
- Plan and schedule sanitation staff to support operational needs
- Ensure all sanitation and cleaning logs are accurately completed and maintained according to internal and regulatory requirements
- Monitor inventory levels of PPE and cleaning solutions and coordinate with purchasing to maintain adequate supply levels
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices where appropriate
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Proven experience as a Sanitation Manager or in a similar facility sanitation leadership role
- Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations, procedures, and compliance standards
- Ability to train, educate, and motivate staff on sanitation practices
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced or challenging operational environments while maintaining high sanitation standards
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math proficiency
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues impacting cleanliness or safety
- Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. from floor to waist with or without reasonable accommodation

Compensation: $80,000
