Caretruly Healthcare provides home healthcare services for those needing assistance with caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability, and/or other inflictions. Under the direction and reporting to the President, the RN Head Nurse is responsible for the supervision and direction to subordinate nursing personnel, coordinating our nursing services to provide an efficient and professional environment for optimum production in our home healthcare organization. This includes traveling to a patient's home to ensure patient care is administered effectively by their Personal Care Worker (PCW), while the patient maintains their independence. Additionally, the RN Head Nurse will provide clinical knowledge and use their interpersonal skills to answer questions from clients, families, and employees to resolve issues involving nursing care.
Education and Work Experience:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
Minimum five years of demonstrated experience in home healthcare or relevant clinical setting, management of Nursing personnel.
Supervisory and administrative experience is required.
Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities:
Develops and administers clinical and nursing staff policies and procedures.
Oversees admissions, on-boarding, and discharges of clients with the nursing staff.
Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual clients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
Approves individualized and comprehensive case management and treatment plans created by nursing staff.
Oversees the nursing staff to ensure Personal Care Worker (PCW) supervisory visits are conducted every 60 days.
Ensures client recertifications are completed for accurate time tracking and billing procedures.
Oversees the training programs for RN’s and PCW’s as well as identify developmental opportunities.
Develops and implements the nursing department activities to develop and implement long and short-term goals and objectives to meet business and growth objectives.
Implements best practices to improve efficiency of health care delivery and communication within all departments.
Assist with client and employee complaints with Human Resources.
Adheres to Federal and State HIPAA rules and regulations and provides recommendations.
Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing.
Documents complex medical information to outline and improve patient care services to meet auditing requirements.
Follow case and quality management processes in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company procedures.
Knowledge/Special Skills/Abilities Needed:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with patients, physicians, and other stakeholders.
Exhibits advanced leadership and supervisory skills.
General knowledge and familiarity with relevant home healthcare products and services.
General knowledge of Federal and State HIPAA rules and regulations.
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues is required.
Computer literacy including MS Office 365, Google Suite, and Electronic Health Record systems.
Familiar with Electronic Health Records and e-forms for medical related offices.
Ability to work with frequent, established deadlines is required.
Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals is required.
Experience in employee development and performance management is essential.
Travel required, must have a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.
