    Colby Community College is seeking a dynamic, student-focused leader to serve as Head Rodeo Coach and build a competitive, nationally recognized program. The salary range for this position is between $43,200 - $54,150. The College offers up to $2,000 in relocation expense reimbursement, to join our wonderful community.

    The Opportunity

    This is a 12-month, full-time, non-faculty position with an anticipated schedule of at least 40 hours per week. Evening, weekend, and travel commitments are required.

    Key Responsibilities

    Recruit and attract student-athletes to the rodeo program.

    Coach and mentor competitors to succeed at the regional and national levels.

    Travel with students for practices and competitions.

    Oversee care and management of practice livestock and rodeo facilities.

    Assist with operations at the Colby Community College Farm.

    Coordinate and host the annual Colby Community College Rodeo.

    Encourage academic success and community involvement among team members.

    Qualifications

    Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.

    Experience competing in rodeo required.

    Previous coaching or leadership experience preferred.

    Strong communication, recruiting, and organizational skills.

    If the selected candidate holds an associate degree, the College expects the individual to be on a degree pathway toward a bachelor’s degree within three years of employment. Obtainment of a bachelor’s degree will be required for continued employment.

    Salary and Benefits

    $43,200 – $54,150 annually, based on experience and education.

    Participation in the Kansas state retirement system is required.
