    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW: Assists in the implementation and maintenance of effective technical information systems that supports program and individual departmental operations of the agency.  

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:  •    Acts as 1st level and 2nd level technical support to employees within the organization. •    Assists staff and management in the provisioning of information, training and technical assistance regarding technology as it relates to their specific department, division or organization. •    Provides technology, troubleshooting and network support to staff to continually enhance and improve internal and external communications. •    Develops and maintains a current inventory for all technical information equipment, including computer hardware and software, phones and, copy/scan/fax machines. •    Maintains storage, back up and archiving of data. •    Maintains and repairs computer hardware as needed. •    Maintains system applications that provide information for management. •    Maintains, monitors, and supports VOIP systems to central office and remote sites. •    Assists the IT Director in the development, coordination, and management of all technology and information technology systems and components.  This includes, but is not limited to computer hardware and software, phones, copy/scan/fax machines, switches, and routers. •    Assists the IT Director in developing, maintaining, and monitoring policies and procedures for technology information utilization. •    Researches new technologies that may be required to expand the company’s capabilities.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibilities

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: •    Associates Degree or equivalent experience.   •    Required skills include advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Networking (TCP/IP), Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred skills include working knowledge of LAN, WAN, and VOIP telephony technologies.  •    Minimum of three to five years experience troubleshooting and working with networks and technology systems.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required; it would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.  

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
