Work alongside the Head Teacher to create and implement meaningful learning experiences for children. Maintain a working knowledge of: • Head Start Performance Standards • ODE Early Learning and Development Standards • Head Start domains • Agency curriculum • Organizational policies and procedures Positions Available: Full-Year Full-Time Part-year Full-Time (August-May) Locations: Fairborn, Ohio - Xenia, Ohio - Troy, Ohio Responsibilities: • Uphold the agency’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values, and follow all organizational and program policies • Partner with the Head Teacher in daily classroom operations, supporting both children and families. Duties include preparing and cleaning the learning environment and assisting with all parts of the daily routine • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and well-organized learning space by actively supervising children at all times • Demonstrate understanding of the agency’s chosen curriculum, the social-emotional framework, the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, and the ODE Early Learning Development Standards • Assist in completing developmental screenings for all children within required timelines • Observe and record each child’s developmental growth using the agency’s ongoing assessment tools • Work with the Head Teacher to conduct home visits and parent–teacher conferences • Accurately complete CACFP Meal Counts at the point of service during every meal • Finish all required Ohio Approved trainings within designated deadlines and participate in all agency-required trainings • Support the development of at-home in-kind activities for each child using the agency’s digital in-kind system Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required • CDA or equivalent preferred • If not already obtained, must agree to enroll in a CORS-approved and paid accredited CDA program and complete the CDA within two years of the start date • Alternatively, must be continuously enrolled in an approved Early Childhood Education degree program • Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred Compensation: $15.29 - $21.87 hourly
