  • Responsibilities

    Our client, a global events management company serving pharma, biotech, and healthcare organizations, is seeking a VP of Sales and Marketing to join their growing organization. You’ll own commercial growth end to end: building pipeline strategy, personally leading high-value pursuits, and closing multi-million-dollar service contracts with pharma, biotech, and healthcare clients. The work is relationship-led, and is built around long sales cycles that require patience, credibility, and in-person trust.

    Location: Remote, with approximately 50% travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.

    Compensation: Base pay between $150k-$200k, with a 50/50 OTE split, and potential equity

    What You’ll Do:

    • Own and execute the company’s commercial growth strategy
    • Personally drive new business development within pharma, biotech, and healthcare
    • Build, manage, and close a long-cycle pipeline (6–12+ months) with regulated procurement buyers
    • Lead complex, multi-million-dollar service deals ($1–2M average contract value)
    • Act as a player-coach: leading by example while guiding sales efforts across the organization
    • Partner with marketing leadership to direct demand generation and positioning (not execution)
    • Represent the company at industry conferences, tradeshows, and client events

    What You Bring:

    • Proven experience selling services or events into pharma, biotech, or healthcare procurement
    • Deep understanding of regulated, compliance-driven sales environments
    • Demonstrated success closing complex, multi-year, multi-million-dollar contracts
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in a growth-stage company
    • High autonomy: you build your own pipeline, manage long cycles, and close without heavy structure
    • Willingness to travel frequently and be visible with clients
