HR Lead – ReloShare (Chicago)
ReloShare is changing how social service agencies support vulnerable communities. Our platforms, Safe Stays (emergency hotel booking) and The Grove (shelter availability), are transforming access to safe housing. As we grow, we’re looking for a Head of HR to build and lead HR and people operations function. We’re looking for someone who relishes in being an army of one,a hands-on builder who can keep the wheels turning on all things people, from performance reviews to benefits to compliance.
Our role is for someone who loves owning the whole HR function; no team to delegate to, just you building smart systems and making things happen. You’ll report to our CFO, work closely with the founding team, and be in our Fulton Market office 4-5 days a week with the crew.
What You’ll Do
Run performance management cycles, reviews, and bonus planning using the systems we’ve already defined.
Own policies, employee handbook, and compliance keeping us sharp and legally sound.
Handle employee relations and engagement, being the go-to person for our 30+ person team.
Manage benefits and leave programs end-to-end.
Be the person all things data: tracking performance, retention, and recommending adjustments as needed.

What We’re Looking For
5-7+ years in HR operations, performance management, and compliance.
Someone who thrives as a doer not looking for a big team or fancy title.
Comfortable with both the strategic “why” and the gritty “how” of HR.
A relationship builder at heart with both internal and external teams
Strong knowledge of employment laws, benefits, and best practices.
Chicago-based and ready to be in-office most days to build culture with the team.
