Position Summary
The Head of Human Resources will lead all HR functions and people strategy in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will design and scale the systems, policies, and teams that support our field and corporate operations. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on: comfortable setting long-term direction while executing daily initiatives to support our expanding workforce.
What You’ll Do
Oversee all core HR areas: talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, learning & development, compensation & benefits, and performance management
Build scalable recruiting programs that attract high-quality field and HQ talent nationwide
Ensure full legal and regulatory compliance, including multi-state labor law and contractor classifications
Lead employee relations and engagement efforts to foster a culture of trust, growth, and accountability
Design compensation, benefits, and recognition programs that retain top performers and support business goals
Develop and deliver learning & development initiatives that build managerial capability, drive career growth, and prepare the organization for scale
Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and leadership team on workforce planning, organizational design, and culture evolution
Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and sales to align people strategies with business results
Experience with 1099 or variable workforce management is a plus
What You Bring
10+ years of progressive HR experience across multiple disciplines with both strategic and operational responsibility
Deep expertise in recruiting, employment law, compliance, and compensation & benefits
Proven ability to lead in fast-growing, multi-location, people-driven industries (e.g. home improvement, solar, HVAC, or other field-based B2C services)
Strong business acumen- able to translate organizational needs into actionable people strategies
Experience coaching and developing leaders to manage people effectively and compliantly
Exceptional communication, independence, and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications; expected range of $120,000–$150,000 for highly qualified candidates, plus performance-based bonuses.
