Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced CPA with strong tax expertise to lead the tax function while acting as the central financial authority across multiple businesses.

This is a unique hybrid role combining Head of Tax and Personal CFO responsibilities. You will oversee all tax operations, review and sign off on filings, and provide clear financial visibility across a portfolio of companies.

This is not a 9–5 role — it requires full ownership of the function, with someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and owns outcomes end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Leadership

• Lead and manage the full tax function across multiple entities
• Review, finalize, and sign off on all business and individual tax returns
• Serve as the signing CPA on filings
• Oversee and guide a team of accountants preparing returns
• Handle complex tax scenarios and client-facing matters

CFO / Financial Oversight

• Act as the personal CFO to the owner across multiple businesses
• Review financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) for accuracy and completeness
• Provide clear, consistent monthly financial reporting
• Track profitability, cash flow, and overall financial performance
• Deliver straightforward insights on where the business is making or losing money

Requirements

• CPA license required
• 8–10+ years of tax experience (business and individual returns)
• Strong experience reviewing and signing off on tax filings
• Experience working with multiple entities or complex structures
• Strong understanding of financial statements and reporting
• High attention to detail and accountability
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
