Position Overview
Prestige Car Wash is seeking a highly experienced individual to become the Head of Training and Development for Prestige Car Wash and Gas. This person will fully own and lead our training program across all levels of the organization from A to Z. This role is responsible for developing, executing, and certifying training for every position, with a primary focus on Managers and District Managers.
This is a hands-on, high impact operational training role for someone who thrives in fast paced environments, can manage multiple groups and personalities and takes pride in building clear, repeatable training systems that drive operational excellence. The Head of Training and Field Development must be willing and able to do the job first in order to effectively train it. Training will occur both indoors and outdoors, and require working in all weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold.
The ideal candidate is accountable, process-driven, and comfortable owning training from onboarding through final sign-off.
Core Responsibilities
Training Ownership & Accountability
- Own the entire training lifecycle for Managers, District Managers and new hires from onboard day 1 through certification sign off.
- Build, document, and maintain role-specific training programs for all positions
- Serve as the final sign-off authority , certifying employees are trained, capable, and ready
- Ensure training standards are met consistently across all locations
Hands-On Operational Training
- Perform each role personally to fully understand expectations before training others
- Train employees on-site in real operating conditions
- Work outdoors as needed in all-weather elements (rain, heat, cold, snow)
- Model proper execution, pace, safety, and customer service standards
Training Materials & Content Creation
- Develop and maintain training manuals, SOPs, and written guides
- Create training videos showing day-to-day responsibilities and expectations
- Continuously update materials as processes evolve
Onboarding & Group Training
- Lead onboarding for new employees, Managers, and District Managers
- Manage small-group and one-on-one training sessions
- Track training progress and completion
- Address gaps and retrain as needed
Training Site & Field Travel
- Develop and maintain a designated training location that represents Prestige standards
- Travel regularly to car wash locations throughout Massachusetts
- Support retraining, recertification, and performance improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of professional training experience required
- Experience in fast-paced, operational environments (multi-site operations preferred)
- Proven ability to train, manage, and certify large groups of employees
- Comfortable working in outdoor operational environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience creating training manuals and video content
- Highly organized with strong follow-through
- Willingness to travel statewide
Car wash industry experience is a plus but not required.
Bi-Lingual is a plus but not required
