Head of Facilities & Engineering

We’re hiring: Head of Facilities & Engineering (Biopharma/Manufacturing)
I’m supporting a growing biopharmaceutical manufacturer in their search for a Head of Facilities & Engineering. This role will be a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and safe operation of the company’s production facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop annual plans for equipment engineering and production safety, and oversee their implementation to ensure stable and efficient operations.
Lead maintenance planning for facilities and production equipment, supervise daily operations, minimize downtime, and ensure production continuity.
Oversee equipment lifecycle: selection, procurement, installation, commissioning, and qualification, ensuring alignment with GMP and EHS standards.
Establish and manage equipment records, technical documentation, and spare parts inventory; promote the adoption of digital management systems.
Partner with Production, R&D, and Quality to optimize process–equipment compatibility and efficiency while ensuring rapid response to customer requirements.
Build and enhance the EHS management system, conduct safety supervision and training, foster a zero-incident culture, and reduce operational risk.
What We’re Looking For
Proven leadership experience in engineering, facilities, or equipment management within biopharmaceuticals, chemicals, or related industries.
Strong knowledge of GMP, EHS regulations, ISO standards, and familiarity with FDA or other global regulatory requirements.
Excellent planning, execution, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex projects.
Bonus: Experience in site planning or large-scale plant construction projects in the biopharma sector.
