Vice President of Operations, Centex Studies

This individual should bring a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry with specific experience in clinical trial execution. This executive role has responsibility for ensuring successful operating performance across 4 Centex locations.

Duties:
Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of Centex.
Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
Collaborates across sites to carry out the Centex’s goals and objectives.
Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the Centex’s business plan and vision.
Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for sites.
Establishes and administers the Centex’s budget.
Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the CEO and other leadership.
Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or a health-related field
Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred
10 years + experience in clinical trials industry (sponsor or site) with demonstrated progressive management experience
Superior communication and organizational skills
Diverse therapeutic experience in career path
Strong command of financial management/ budgeting
Strategic planning experience
Supervisory experience; preferably of large & diverse teams, multi-site management
Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles
Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices
