    Job Description

    HEADWAY WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS is currently seeking FIELD INTERVIEWERS on behalf of our client in the SOUTH MILWAUKEE, WI AREA. As a Field Interviewer, you will conduct interviews supporting the ELEVATE program. The goal of the pilot program is to help non-custodial parents overcome barriers preventing them from providing steady financial and emotional support to their children, connect more fully with their children, and find employment so they can make steady child support payments. The goal of the research study is to find out if the ELEVATE pilot program helps noncustodial parents meet their child support obligations by providing additional child support services, employment services, and parenting activities.

    This is a part-time position and applicants must be available at least 12 hours per week up to 16-20 hours per week based on availability of work. Applicants must be available to work a combination of daytime and evening hours on weekdays and weekends when respondents will be available and must be available to attend both in an in-person and virtual project training. Equipment will be provided and is for use only on this assignment. The compensation for this position begins at $18.00 TO 19.00 PER HOUR.

    RESPONSIBILITIES OF A FIELD INTERVIEWER

    • Follow all project specifications and protocols
    • Conduct computer-based interviews in-person with a high degree of accuracy and integrity
    • Conduct locating activities online and in-person when Respondents are difficult to reach
    • Regularly report to assigned Field Supervisor
    • Exercise courtesy and professionalism to all Respondents
    • Maintain confidentiality of all collected data
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

    REQUIREMENTS OF A FIELD INTERVIEWER

    • Must have proof of COVID vaccination
    • Must be 21 years of age
    • Must be able to type 35 WPM
    • Must have reliable personal transportation for business use
    • Must have high speed wireless internet access at home
    • Must be familiar with MS Office products
    • Must have own reliable vehicle and insurance
    • Must have personal credit card and ability to charge up to $500 for reimbursable expenses
    • Must be willing to travel within a 100 mile radius of Racine WI to collect data
    • This position requires candidates to consent to the performance of a background check and credit check

    QUALIFICATIONS OF A FIELD INTERVIEWER

    • Both English and Spanish fluency a plus, but not required
    • Have experience conducting in-person interviewing (CAPI)
    • Exceptional reading, verbal, and listening skills with the ability to multi-task
    • The ability to speak with Respondents using a laptop to record responses
    • Willingness to work in-person to locate selected households/Respondents and schedule appointments and conduct in-person interviews
    • Courteous with effective communication skills and “people” skills
    • Positive and self-motivated demeanor
    • Prior Field Research/Interviewing experience a plus

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    Hours and Training

    Must be able to attend training from March 28th-31st

    • March 28th and 29th, will be in mandatory, in person, and in Madison, WI (accommodations provided)
    • March 30th and 31st will be mandatory and virtual
    • Work will begin immediately after training

    Must be able to work nights and weekends Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week (the target is between 16-20) Must be willing to commit to the project through the end of the field period (January 2024) RESPONDENT COMPENSATION: AS A “THANK YOU” FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION AND COMPLETING THE 60-MINUTE INTERVIEW, RESPONDENTS WILL RECEIVE A $50 CASH INCENTIVE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
