Need: We are looking for hard working, fun, and dependable people to fill our open Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions.

Responsibilities

BASIC FUNCTION: Provide direct care services for individuals with intellectual disabilities including assistance with activities of daily living such as hygiene, dressing, and eating

Train individuals to acquire skills necessary to enhance independence

Participate in and implement Individual Habilitation Plans

Write legible, clear, and accurate observations in standard English

Qualifications Prefer you have a Vehicle and Current DL w/ Insurance

High School Diploma or GED

At least 18 years of age

No disqualifying events on criminal background check

No disqualifying events on Health Care Workers Registry

Pass pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol test

Pass DSP classroom and OJT program approved by Illinois DHS

Understand written and oral English Language

Able to complete Medication Program required by DHS

Lift 50 pounds without assistance; transfer residents from bed to wheelchair and back; operate mechanical lift

Remain free of alcohol and/or illegal substance use while working; as determined by random testing

DSP will update case notes on daily basis and assist with hygiene, dress and socialization skills.

Full Time/Part Time Evening Shift: 2pm-10pm & 5pm-10pm (Every Other Weekend)

Benefits

$16.00 - $18.00 Per Hour
