Bilingual Health Care Coordinator – Physical Therapy Clinic

Position Overview

We are seeking a Health Care Coordinator to join a busy outpatient physical therapy clinic in Baltimore. The Health Care Coordinator will play an important role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the clinic.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and provide a warm, professional first impression.

Assist patients with the check-in and check-out process.

Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.

Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions or concerns.

Maintain accurate patient information and documentation within the clinic's systems.

Verify insurance information and assist with obtaining necessary patient information.

Collect copayments, deductibles, and other patient balances as appropriate.

Assist patients with completing required paperwork and forms.

Monitor appointment schedules and help maintain efficient patient flow.

Communicate effectively with physical therapists, physical therapy technicians, and clinic leadership.

Assist patients with the clinic's electronic check-in kiosk and provide guidance when needed.

Monitor and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Assist with referral and authorization-related processes as needed.

Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.

Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-office environment.

Support overall clinic operations and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Provide excellent customer service to patients, family members, referral sources, and other healthcare professionals.

Address patient concerns professionally and escalate issues to appropriate leadership when necessary.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience in a healthcare, medical office, physical therapy, or customer service setting preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, and other office technology.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Professional and positive attitude.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
