Hospital Electrical Systems Subject Matter Expert
Job Description
Excellent opportunity to be a part of the team at the new state of the art military hospital at Ft Bliss, TX. Seeking 5 Subject Matter Experts: Mechanical, Main Plant, Electrical, Low Voltage & Electronics, Technical/Clinical Processes - Team Leader.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS SME
Assess/survey all electrical systems in multiple buildings during in-progress construction through and beyond First Patient Day. Review, analyze, and assess USACE Electrical Systems commissioning plans for content and/or deficiencies. Collaborate with Commissioning Agent and electrical systems commissioning stakeholders. Assess mechanical systems commissioning in-progress data to ascertain whether electrical systems design criteria are fully met. Review all electrical design plans, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.
Participate in all O&M training related to building electrical systems; acquire expert knowledge of systems and sequence of operations. Develop/deliver electrical training program. Witness and validate all electrical equipment and systems startup and checkout procedures by General Contractor. Review and validate pre-functional checklists.
Develop Real Property Inventory Equipment (RPIE) task procedures for electrical systems equipment, and support RPIE contractor inventory effort.
Qualifications
· 20+ years exp as a journeyman electrician, master electrician, electrical supervisor, and/or electrical project manager in hospitals, primary care facilities, major commercial facilities, industrial plants, or similar
· Expert knowledge of applicable electrical codes and requirements associated with the following complex systems: normal power; emergency power; generators; power monitoring; lighting controls. Must possess expert knowledge with all devices and components typically found in these systems.
· Demonstrated background and knowledge of electrical system equipment start-up and commissioning activities.
· Basic knowledge of Fort Bliss Directorate of Public Works processes, where association with privatized DPW Base Operations and Maintenance Electrical Contractor, and local electrical utility service provider is required.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organization, planning and time management habits
· Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Adobe Acrobat; knowledgeable of Internet usage
· Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basi
