Hospital Main Plant Systems Subject Matter Expert
Job Description
Excellent opportunity to be a part of the team at the new state of the art military hospital at Ft Bliss, TX. Seeking 5 Subject Matter Experts: Mechanical, Main Plant, Electrical, Low Voltage & Electronics, Technical/Clinical Processes - Team Leader.
MAIN PLANT SYSTEMS SME
Assess/survey all systems in central and secondary utility plants during in-progress construction through and beyond First Patient Day. Review, analyze, and assess USACE Central Plant commissioning plans for content and/or deficiencies. Collaborate with Commissioning Agent and central plant commissioning stakeholders. Assess central plant systems commissioning in-progress data to ascertain whether mechanical systems design criteria are fully met. Review all central plant design plans, as-built drawings, and O & M manuals.
Participate in all O&M training related to central plant systems; acquire expert knowledge of systems and sequence of operations. Develop/deliver O&M training program. Witness and validate all central plant equipment and systems startup and checkout procedures by General Contractor. Review and validate pre-functional checklists.
Develop Real Property Inventory Equipment (RPIE) task procedures for central plant systems equipment, and support RPIE contractor inventory effort.
Qualifications
· 20+ years’ exp in a Major Hospital/Clinic patient environment in one or more of the following capacities: Superintendent of central plant maintenance and operations; or Central Plant Operator
· 20+ years’ exp with Hospital/Clinic central plant systems, including generators, boilers, deaerators, chillers, cooling towers, domestic H/C water, domestic water booster systems, domestic hot water & circulation pumps, water treatment, water softeners, reverse osmosis, deionized water, sump pumps, natural gas, medical gas; medical vacuum, compressed air, heat exchangers, fire pumps, and all other related systems and controls common in Hospital Central Utility Plants
· Knowledge of Ft Bliss Directorate of Public Works processes
· Expert knowledge of DMLSS Real Property Inventory Equipment (RPIE) and task procedures associated with Major Hospital mechanical systems and components
· Certifications – High Pressure Boiler Systems, OSHA, etc.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organization, planning and time management habits
· Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Adobe Acrobat; knowledgeable of Internet usage
· Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
