MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

• · Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course    Information sheets.
• · Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.
• · Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.
• · Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• · Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
• · Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
• · Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.
• · Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
• · Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.

Required Skills Required Experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
• 4+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including public accounting experience with technical accounting research responsibilities
• Strong technical accounting and research skills
• Experience with US GAAP accounting standards, including the ability to assess, analyze and thoroughly document accounting positions
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, including the ability to manipulate spreadsheets, create pivot tables and summarize data from multiple sources.
• Ability to multi-task and drive closure to open issues.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Master’s degree in Business or Accounting.
• Public accounting experience with one of the Big Four accounting firms.
