    JOB SUMMARY

    Develop sales and profits through regular contact with current accounts and customer prospects.  Maintain and strengthen current customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and Company profitability.  Work closely with the inside sales representative(s) upon securing customer contracts and/or orders.  Promote customers’ use of Company’s proprietary inventory management program.  Coordinate the timely resolution of customer issues.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Actively create sales opportunities by developing relationships with customers and prospects
    • Create and manage sales pipeline for established territory
    • Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadlines provided
    • Be a liaison between Wurth and customers/prospects
    • Maintain working relationship with customers to ensure satisfaction
    • Attend trade shows and perform lunch & learns
    • Maintain compliance with Wurth House of Threads' Business Management System (ISO)
    • Constant communication with inside sales and sales management is required
    • Other duties as assigned by management

    QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • High school diploma required, college degree preferred
    • 5+ years previous experience in industrial or construction sales
    • Ability to travel overnight, up to 40%
    • Proven record of relationship-building
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Deadline and detail-oriented
    • Professional demeanor with both internal and external customers
    • Accountability in problem solving; initiative in resolving customer issues
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; ability to become proficient in Company integrated database systems
    • Experience with CRM software
    • Knowledge of industrial fastener standards is a plus
