    A fast growing NYC based fitness and life style company managing luxury clubs throughout the NYC area, is seeking an Assistant Manager. Offering inspiring career opportunities and unlimited potential for growth.

    The AGM is responsible for assisting in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our club. The role is to oversee the Customer Service Department (front desk), Facilities Team, and monitor all areas of the club.

    Responsibilities

    Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the club, with a focus on maintaining a high level of customer service.

    Recruiting, training and supervising all club employees.

    Managing multiple aspects of inventory control, promotional materials, shift coverage, and general club maintenance.

    Manage staff and identify positive and negative performances, and advise on appropriate action.

    Plan and execute clubs events and promotions.

    Required Skills and Experience

    Qualified candidates must have proven leadership ability in an educational, fitness, or professional setting with 1-2 years of management experience in a customer service business; college degree strongly preferred.

    Must be energetic, personable, friendly, passionate about fitness, and knowledgeable about the fitness industry.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to utilize new techniques and ideas.

    Must have a proven track record of directing and training staff. Must possess excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills.

    Exceptional computer skills is a plus and computer literacy is mandatory.

    Physical demands include ability to regularly walk through all areas of the club, climbing stairs (where applicable), and bending and lifting (e.g., picking up towels, re-stacking of weights, moving of equipment as necessary).

    Must be able to work the hours necessary to attend to the needs of the club or as scheduled by the General manager.

    2+ years of sales experience
