    Job Title: Registered Nurse- Alternate

    Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Alternate to join our team. The role of the RN-Alternates is to provide coverage for PTO requests and/or same-day absences for the established Healthcare Partnership Program nurses working directly in businesses, as well as the School Nursing Program nurses, providing care to students and staff in the school setting.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Provide high-quality direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.

    2. Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and standards.

    3. Collaborate with providers, other healthcare professionals, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.

    4. Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and changes in condition.

    5. Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.

    6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and documentation.

    7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to minimize the risk of harm to patients and staff.

    8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.

    Requirements:

    1. Active Registered Nurse license in Michigan.

    2. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

    3. Knowledge of current nursing practices, procedures, and techniques.

    4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    5. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in emergency situations.

    6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

    7. Proficiency in using healthcare technology and electronic medical record systems.

    8. Availability to work flexible schedules.

    9. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical nursing standards.
