OVERVIEW:
Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are seeking a Data Management Project Lead to join the MSA IT/OPS division supporting the deliverables team, which has been offering data and insight solutions to the Consumer Package Goods industry since the early 1980s.
As a Data Management Project Lead you will manage the day to day operations of projects in support of the Client Relations Division to supply deliverables directly to our clients. You will be responsible for coordinating work internally between the client relations team, QA and IT. You will oversee the work required for timely and efficient delivery of data to our clients. This work encompasses project management skills across multiple projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Client Relations teams to translate desired business requirements into efficient processing methodologies
- Manage and provide technical leadership on complex projects
- Able to proactively identify, communicate and solve business and technical problems, providing technical direction regarding project requirements
- Assist with the design, documentation and implementation of new processes and procedures applying industry knowledge and technical experience
- Remediate processes to reduce and/or eliminate costs, gain efficiencies, minimize risks and reduce time to market with attention towards automation and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with management team in setting standard operating procedures
- Audit and ensure functional and data quality plans are in place for all projects
- Meet with project team to discuss project plans, deadlines, issues and new business
- Provide time and resource estimates upon request
- Interact and participate in client calls and meetings for assigned projects and new initiatives
- Design and establish criteria for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production implementation
- Document and communicate issues and achievements for assigned projects; escalate issues requiring senior level attention to appropriate personnel.
- Work with management to determine potential training needs
- Communicate and coordinate tasks across teams
- Collaborate with other project stakeholders on design and implementation of automation and/or synergies requirements
- WORK FULL-TIME REMOTE FROM A HOME OFFICE
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience. A master's degree may substitute for up to two years of experience.
- Minimum six years relevant experience with prior experience managing or leading projects
- Experience with Data Management processes
- Project Management experience
- Experience working with project teams and defining data requirements
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

- Skilled/Proficient with various Microsoft Office tools
- Understanding of Relational databases with knowledge of database structures and basic SQL skills

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- BMC Control-M knowledge and experience is plus
- Knowledge with industry standard business intelligence reporting tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI etc.)
