We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to support MSA’s Life Sciences Healthcare Data Management initiatives.
JOB SUMMARY: At MSA Life Sciences, we provide innovative HIPAA-compliant healthcare solutions and services. In this role, you will assist with a cross sectional team of Development, Client Relations and Production personnel to manage and deliver data to our clients timely and accurate. This position is a great way to build skills in data analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Translate client requirements into specific tasks and actions needed to deliver on our commitments
- Query, extract and validate data from client databases in order to fulfill client and internal requests. Understands the data and processes used to produce intended results.
- Review processes, looking for ways to improve performance, improve turnaround, and reduce risk. Present suggestions to team leaders and work with them to implement approved changes.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system implementations. Perform quality assurance functions to validate data, software, hardware, or procedure changes.
- Communicate with team members on project assignments
- Must be a self-starter, flexible and highly detail oriented; must be motivated and driven to succeed within the organization
- Works according to standard operating procedures
- Assist in the training of new employees
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience. A master's degree in a relevant discipline may substitute for one year of experience
- Minimum two years related experience performing data management, quality assurance, and operational database support tasks
- Exposure to SQL
- Relational database and data analysis
- Analytic and problem solving skills
- Data mining and manipulations skills and knowledge
- Technical skills and ability to work on multiple platforms
- Effective time management skills with ability to multi-task
- Communication skills, both written and oral
- Knowledge of database structure
- Basic MS Office applications
- Ability to translate and converse about technical and analytical issues to the technical and non-technical divisional employees
