WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

We are looking for a HEALTH FITNESS PROFESSIONAL to join the team at our corporate client (large biotech company) located in South San Francisco, CA. In this position, you will provide exercise floor supervision, interact with members and program participants, and deliver health and fitness programs and services, promotions and outreach activities.  You will provide personal training, conduct fitness assessments/exercise prescriptions/orientations, and provide fitness floor coverage and facility oversight. You may also assist with or coordinate various health and fitness program offerings.  This is a full-time, benefits eligible position, Monday-Friday Schedule.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING WITH YOU:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Kinesiology, Exercise Science, etc.) and/or 2+ years’ fitness and wellness industry experience, along with fitness industry certification(s) from a HealthFitness approved provider.
• Energy, professionalism, strong interpersonal communication, customer service skills, and the ability to motivate others.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with initiative and creativity.
• This client site requires full COVID-19 vaccination as an essential job function. HealthFitness adheres to all federal, state and local COVID-19 vaccination regulations as well as all client COVID-19 vaccination requirements and will obtain the necessary information from candidates prior to employment to ensure compliance. Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. ADDITIONAL/PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
• Personal Training certification required, must be from one of the following: ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NASM, NETA, NSCA, or *ISSA/NCCPT (*NCCA accredited version only).
• Industry recognized Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA, ACSM or NETA and experience instructing group exercise classes (step, hi/lo, spin, kickboxing, Zumba, yoga, etc.).
