In early 2000, the scope of our India program expanded with a major immunization initiative for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Today, PATH’s India projects focus on TB, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis-C, immunization, injection safety, maternal health, and more.

     

    PATH is currently recruiting for a Technical Officer Key Population under the project Sashakt, to support in the design, planning and implementation of HIV prevention to care and treatment continuum interventions among key population (KP) in the high burden states of Northeast and selected sites in Maharashtra.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide technical support in designing strategies to expand the coverage of men who have sex with men (MSM), transgender (TG), female sex workers (FSW) and their partners in all priority districts as planned under the Project Sashakt
    • Provide technical support in the implementation of the integrated package of services tailored to these populations
    • Design and scale up virtual intervention strategies for MSM, TG and FSW populations including innovative approaches as per the Project Sashakt
    • Provide technical guidance in the implementation of community score card system among all typologies in all the priority districts of Northeast and Maharashtra.
    • Organize periodic community consultations for program improvement in Northeast and Maharashtra
    • Provide technical support in strengthening the program response among MSM, TG and FSW populations
    • Design and support the implementation of innovative strategies for maintaining and augment HIV response during COVID times
    • Implement a monitoring system including micro planning, granular analysis and routine review meetings to track the progress in achieving the targets in Northeast and Maharashtra
    • Participate in review meetings of SACS and NACO
    • Prepare periodic reports as required for reporting to SACS, NACO, and CDC

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

     

    • Master’s degree in public health, social sciences, or related field with at least 3-4 years of technical experience preferably in prevention, care, and treatment program with KPs (female sex workers, men who have sex with men, people who inject drugs and transgender individuals).
    • S/he will have at least 2 years of demonstrated program implementation experience with KP’s and well accepted within the KP community
    • Experience in projects that involve liaising with Government institutions and private sector players/corporates/healthcare providers/NGOs.
    • Proven ability to multi-task and collaborate work effectively with senior staff, colleagues, donors, partner organizations, stakeholders, local institutions, and others at all levels.
    • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines, and intense pressure to perform.
    • Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Experience in analytical, communication, presentation and report writing skills.
    • Excellent skills in facilitation, team building and coordination.
    • Experience in public speaking and professional presentations.
    • Field oriented and a comfortable with a team approach to programming.
