    PATH began its work in India in the late 1990s, bringing governments, communities, private-sector companies, and experienced public health practitioners together to address some of the country’s most crucial health problems. In early 2000, the scope of our India program expanded with a major immunization initiative for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Today, PATH’s India projects focus on TB, immunization, HIV/AIDS, injection safety, maternal health, Innovation Labs, and more.

     

    PATH is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, and enthusiastic interns to work with and will be supporting on HIV self-testing implementation study.

     

    DESCRIPTION OF THE LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND GOALS OF THE INTERNSHIP

     

    • Conducting background research on HIV and HIV self testing intervention in India.
    • Preparation of collateral related to HIV and HIVST for Internal and External stakeholders
    • Knowledge of Global Health, Digital Health, Nonprofit management and Business Development

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE ONE OR MANY, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, OF THE FOLLOWING: 

     

    • Conduct secondary research and analysis for material contributing to the development of project documentation.Fostering collaboration and coordination among team members.
    • Collate information from workstreams for ongoing HIV projects and create project documents, presentations, and trackers.
    • Support the project team with the members to track the activities of various project partners.
    • Support the project team in update in project trackers and preparing meeting notes.
    • Support the team in coordinating for documentation and communication with PATH internal and external stakeholders.
    • Prepare a weekly and monthly activities update. 
    • Prepare and work with the team to generate an evidence-based presentation on the HIV self-testing in the country and region. Able to come up with ideas to draft papers for publication and best practices of the project activities and outcomes.
    • Support the team in preparing for meetings with potential donors, including conducting background research on meeting participants and organization focus.
    • Fostering collaboration and coordination among team members.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree at a reputed graduate school. Fresh graduates in management or public health are encouraged to apply.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
    • Comfort with collaborating across all levels of leadership internally.
    • Basic research and analytical skills, including the ability to proactively identify opportunities.
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.
    • Excellent command over MS Office Applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint. 
    • Excellent in written and spoken English

     

     

    Must have legal authorization to work in India.
