Fitness Floor Attendant - Beaumont, TX at CHRISTUS HWC

Part-time, 8-10 hrs/wk

Looking to get into the fitness industry, then this is the opportunity for you! HealthFitness is looking for a part-time __Fitness Floor Attendant to join the fitness team at our CHRISTUS HWC Community client site in Beaumont, TX. In this position, you will be responsible for providing exercise floor supervision and interacting with members and program participants and assisting in the delivery of health and fitness programs and services, promotions and outreach activities. This role is responsible for providing outstanding service to members and program participants to maximize participation, outcomes and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

• Enthusiastically greet each member and guest promptly using the proper greeting for time of day to create a friendly positive entrance and departure to and from the gym.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the fitness area and all equipment.
• Schedules/Performs Orientations for members and be proficient in knowing how to use the Inbody machine and myzone.
• Responds immediately to member requests, inquiries and concerns.
• Demonstrates and instructs the proper use of exercise equipment.
• Must be proficient in Fitness EMS, TRP, and our software management system for Point of sale transactions for programs, merchandise sales, equipment maintenance and member retention.
• Actively promote programs and services to increase engagement and boost retention.
• Review and enforce fitness floor guidelines and expectations as needed to members and guests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the role

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Adult CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or the American Safety & Health Institute will be required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior fitness and customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Computer application knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) strongly preferred.
• Physical demands require having the ability to lift up to 40 lb. weights for restacking.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
