    PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships, and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing health challenges.

     

    The Diagnostics Program at PATH conducts research and development, technical evaluation, introduction, and technology transfer of low-cost, rapid, novel, and easy to use diagnostic tests that are appropriate for use in developing country health systems. We are seeking a SENIOR PROGRAM ASSISTANT to provide administrative and programmatic support. The role will support a variety of diagnostics related projects and special initiatives.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Coordinate the production and distribution of complex documents, including proposals and reports
    • Schedule and attend team meetings, coordinate with project team to draft agendas, and provide meeting summaries
    • Maintain project records, electronic files, trackers, file permissions, and other resources on behalf of team members
    • Draft, edit, format, fact-check, and proofread a variety of documents and enter data using Word, Excel, and other software
    • Project management activities include partnering with the Project Manager to track action items, outreach with project team members and key stakeholders to ensure timely completion of action items, identifying upcoming activities, maintaining project dashboards, and tracking progress towards key milestones and deliverables
    • Assist senior program staff and team members with travel arrangements, teleconferences (across multiple time zones), and complex schedule coordination, using Microsoft Outlook
    • Coordinate arrangements for guests, meetings, conferences, workshops, and other events
    • Assist with completion of administrative forms, including supply request forms, check requests credit card expense reimbursement forms
    • Collaborate with staff throughout the organization to research and gather information for proposals, communication materials, and reports

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

    • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of two to three years of administrative experience required; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
    • Helpful but not required: college level scientific coursework such as biology or chemistry; experience in nonprofit administration, global health, international development, financial processing (such as accounts payable), event coordination and/or similar areas; and experience working with team members in out of state/country locations
    • Experience coordinating calendars, organizing workshops, scheduling and executing calls using various meeting forums (MS Teams, Zoom etc.) with people in multiple locations
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Excellent formatting, editing, and proofreading skills
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills
    • Strong desk/online research and fact-checking skills
    • Proven ability to take initiative, learn quickly, anticipate needs and challenges, and find
    • Demonstrated success working collaboratively across diverse teams and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular skill in Word and Outlook
    • Familiarity with Salesforce and Smartsheet is helpful
    • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time, tasks, and responsibilities
    • Demonstrated success working effectively while under deadlines
    • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
    • Ability to work in team environment with minimal supervision
    • A passion for global health, equity, and advancing diagnostic innovation

    REMOTE WORK:

    PATH continues to evolve to support our employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, most of PATH’s US based positions are temporarily 100% remote, within commuting distance to our PATH offices. When PATH transitions more broadly to in-person work, we will operate with a hybrid workplace model. Hybrid employees must reside within commuting distance to one of our PATH offices. PATH’s US offices are located in Seattle, WA and Washington, D.C.

     

    COVID-19 VACCINE REQUIREMENT:

    PATH has instituted a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all employees, interns, consultants, and temporary staff based in the United States. Individuals selected for job opportunities in the United States must be fully vaccinated, and show proof of vaccination status, upon hire. Individuals are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as Pfizer or Moderna, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson. Individuals with medical issues or sincerely held religious beliefs that prevent them from getting the vaccine may request an exemption from the vaccine requirement.
