PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships, and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing health challenges.

Since June 2021, Burkina Faso has been implementing vaccination against Covid-19 throughout the national territory. In addition to the vaccine grants received under the COVAX initiative, the country also receives vaccines prequalified by WHO through bilateral cooperation. An increase in vaccine endowments is expected in the coming months. The continued deployment of Covid-19 vaccines while ensuring its other sovereign activities (routine vaccination and the introduction of new vaccines) is a major challenge of the moment for the country. The country must therefore show resilience so as not to jeopardize the gains made in routine vaccination for years.
