    OVERVIEW:  Management Science Associates, Inc., (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are seeking an Senior Business System Analyst to join our IT/OPS division.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Interacts with business and user community to understand and document business requirements and processes
    • Conducts business analysis and use case analysis
    • Conducts business process analysis and modeling
    • Present current process vs. recommended processes along with value/ROI expectations
    • Works independently with users to develop business requirements, functional requirements and use cases
    • Works on a team with software developers, QA, documentation, and client service, in order to ensure the timely delivery of the software enhancements / modifications to which they are assigned.
    • Assists users in defining and writing both documentation and reporting requirements
    • Responds to user requests for information by defining requirements, performing queries, and assisting in writing more complex specifications
    • Assist in implementation plan and execution of the best practices
    • Makes recommendations for resolution of gap issues
    • Reviews system performance during and after implementation

    Required Skills

    • Requires a four-year degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Math, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent experience.  Related post-graduate degree may substitute for up to two years of experience.
    • Minimum three years’ related experience performing business systems analysis or equivalent
    • Advanced understanding of the processes and environments of business functions and databases
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Access and MS Project
    • Knowledge of industry standard Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Power BI, Micro Strategy, Tableau, Dhiva as well as MSA proprietary tools
    • Familiarity with SQL and other query/reporting tools
    • Analytical ability adequate to perform business modeling techniques
    • Ability to relate to clients and various types of users to learn new business requirements and processes
    • Ability to breakdown and document user tasks into understandable and repeatable processes
    • Ability to provide process and automation improvements
    • Ability to breakdown costs and validate recommended improvements

    Required Experience
