    Trex Company, the world’s number one decking and railing brand, and leader in high-performance, low-maintenance outdoor living products, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform Trex plant and facility equipment repairs, upgrades, and general and preventive maintenance.

    As our next Maintenance Technician, you are a team player with technical knowledge in the areas of welding, mechanical repair, hydraulics and pneumatics who works in a safe and efficient manner. You are able to manage inventory and have strong troubleshooting skills.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Diagnose and correct mechanical and electrical breakdowns in plant machinery and equipment.
    • Fabricate parts for repairs and minor machine modifications.
    • Rebuild capital spares and return to stock.
    • Assist operations, find the root cause of process of failures.
    • Perform assigned preventative maintenance on all equipment.
    • Evaluate equipment and make recommendations as to improvements, preventative maintenance actions and necessary spare parts to be maintained on site.
    • Document maintenance actions through the initiation of work orders and ensuring that all applicable records are maintained properly.
    • Maintain an accurate accountability of assigned tools and shop assets through the use of daily inventory control.
    • Ensure compliance is maintained with all applicable OSHA, EPA and applicable local laws and regulations.
    • Research and order parts through the inventory management system.
    • Support engineering projects for new equipment evaluations/installations/startups, new products and test evaluations.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Minimum of two years industrial maintenance experience or five years of Trex manufacturing experience.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills.
    • Technical knowledge in the areas of welding, mechanical repair, hydraulics and pneumatics.
    • Industrial, electrical and PLC experience as well as preventative maintenance.
    • Must be able to attend classes to keep current with process/maintenance technologies.
    • Must be able to learn the JD Edwards system.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
    • Must have inventory management and purchasing skills.
    • Must possess high school diploma or GED.
  • Qualifications
    • Credit Courses - Require a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in CyberSecurity or closely related discipline.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

    Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty: The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant or teaching experience. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
