Job Summary:
The Program Director is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day program operations of the residential treatment program. The Program Director is responsible for critical balance between providing high quality, safe services, maximizing contract and other revenues and overall fiscal responsibility. The Program Director must be a licensed clinical social worker, licensed clinical psychologist, licensed marriage and family therapist, or a licensed professional clinical counselor. It is highly preferred to have at least two years of post-licensure experience.
What You´ll Do:
Program Leadership:
Ensures that all program development plans and activities are executed in keeping with the organization’s values, mission, vision, and strategy.
Responsible for all facility related matters to ensure that programs operate efficiently and safely which includes writing policies and procedures to support best practices.
Develops and maintains policies and procedures as it relates to day-to-day program operations in collaboration with Quality Improvement Team and EHR staff.
Implements improvements in the integration of behavioral health services to improve the quality and continuum of client care.
Provides clear and ongoing communication to the managers, supervisors, and direct service staff.
Translates individual funding and program requirements to the continuum of care model utilizing best clinical practice.
Assumes ownership for any facility or program crisis and sees it through to completion.
Attends external program specific meetings and events to ensure that the program is in compliance and is kept up to date on trends related to client treatment and care and to represent HealthRIGHT 360.
Clinical Oversight:
Ensures that all staff are informed and kept up to date on trends related to client treatment and care.
Ensures all service staff submit documentation in accordance with program requirements and in compliance with all regulatory requirements and agency’s policies and procedures. This includes timeliness of documentation with progress notes being completed no later than the following business day, assessments, treatment plans, discharges, and co-signatures occur on time.
Ensures that the clients’ records are of high quality and are kept up to date as part of the service provided.
People Management:
Provides direct, individual supervision for staff.
Provides ongoing, regular feedback to staff on the quality and timeliness of their work.
Ensures that staff complies with all legal and ethical practices.
Gives ongoing feedback and conducts formal performance evaluations in a timely manner.
Identify direct reports’ strengths and weaknesses and strive to develop them to their fullest potential.
Delivers and arranges training and resources required for staff to perform their roles.
Financial Oversight:
Manages utilization at both a staff level and contract level to ensure contracts are maximized and clients receive necessary services.
Ensures all program/projects stay within agreed budgetary limitations.
What You´ll Need:
Education:
Master’s in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy with current California BBS licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, LCP) or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with current CBP license.
Experience:
At least two years’ experience with effective treatment and management of clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
At least 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably supervising a team in a community behavioral health setting.
Competencies:
Knowledge of and experience with providing services using client-centered therapy, strength-based therapy, recovery model, harm reduction, and trauma-informed practices.
Culturally competent and able to work with diverse population.
Strong computer skills and proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Ability to lead, work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to proactively collaborate with other supervisors to ensure the best possible training for staff and service delivery for clients.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
Bilingual preferred.
Other Requirements:
Possess current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Must be able to meet health screening and TB test requirements.
Must be able to meet and maintain credentialing requirements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain satisfactory background check.
