    Job Description

     IT IS A FULLY REMOTE POSITION.

    POSITION:

    We are currently seeking a SR. CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR/PAYOR RELATIONS SPECIALIST to be a part of a growing, established healthcare company.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration preferred 
    • Payor Contract Experience preferred 
    • Proven contract negotiation skills  
    • Comprehensive understanding of contract procurement techniques  
    • 2-4 years’ experience drafting legal and/or healthcare contracts  
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, with emphasis on Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Proven Third Party Payor contracting experience.
    • Understanding of managed care contracts and the ability to edit contract language for content for specific services being negotiated.
    • Knowledge of government contracts and regulations – Medicare, Medicaid (various states) and  accreditation/certification standards.
    • Managed Care industry knowledge and trends, Understand Payor Mix, New Payor Types (i.e. Reference based Health plans, Self-funded plans)  Fee for service and Value based contract experience, and Capitation arrangements
    • Solid understanding of Revenue Cycle Management
    • Solid understanding of Contract Life-cycle:  Credentialing, Implementation, Renewals, Amendments, Regulations/Compliance, Assignment

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Initiate and manage contract process cycle inclusive of the preparation of drafts, responding to redlines, and negotiating terms  
    • Manage communications and work flow processes in accordance with departmental contracting protocols and procedures  
    • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to evaluate and monitor contract performance to determine the need for amendments or extensions of contracts to increase and maximize customer relationship  
    • Interpret, analyze and recommend or create template contractual language  
    • Generate monthly and ad hoc reports for management as requested
