    Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Biller with experience in behavioral health billing, specifically for commercial insurance and Medicare. The ideal candidate will also have direct experience using Waystar for claims management and billing operations. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of our practice.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Submit accurate and timely claims through Waystar and other platforms to commercial insurance payers and Medicare.

    Monitor and follow up on unpaid, underpaid, or denied claims; manage appeals as needed.

    Post payments, reconcile accounts, and manage client billing issues.

    Communicate with insurance companies, clients, and internal staff to resolve billing questions and provide solutions.

    Help solve contracts and credentialing issues as they arise.

    Ensure full compliance with HIPAA and insurance-specific guidelines.

    Prepare regular reports on collections, outstanding claims, and account aging.

    Make sure other duties are taken care of as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    At least 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably in behavioral or mental health settings.

    Proficient in using Waystar for claims processing, eligibility checks, and account management.

    Strong understanding of Medicare and commercial insurance billing policies and practices.

    Familiar with ICD-10, CPT coding, and common EHR systems (experience with Valant is a plus).

    Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

    Strong communication skills and the ability to manage tasks independently.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience with high-volume billing in a large group practice.

    Knowledge of insurance credentialing and enrollment processes is a plus.
