    CHNS Training and Staffing Services is seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to support the daily operations of our Human Resources Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in Human Resources while gaining hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    Support daily Human Resources operations and administrative functions

    Assist with recruiting activities, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews

    Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation processes

    Maintain and update employee and applicant records in HR systems and databases

    Assist with personnel file management and compliance documentation

    Support employee engagement initiatives and staff development programs

    Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits

    Assist with training coordination and recordkeeping

    Prepare reports, track HR metrics, and maintain accurate documentation

    Support audits and ensure HR records remain organized and compliant

    Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications:

     

    High School Diploma or GED required

    Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

    1–2 years of HR, recruiting, administrative, or office support experience preferred

    Strong organizational and multitasking skills

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally

    Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Professional demeanor and customer-service mindset

     

    Technical Skills:

     

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    Experience with HR software, applicant tracking systems, or employee databases preferred

    Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
