Position: Healthcare Project Manager
Type: Direct Hire
Hours approximately: Standard Business Hours
Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA (on site)
Salary: $115k-130k/year
The Healthcare Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of installation projects within healthcare facilities. This role ensures all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and life safety codes.
This position leads project planning, cost control, client communication, and cross-functional coordination, serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Oversee all phases of healthcare system installations, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
- Manage project financials, including cost tracking, budget forecasting, billing, and Work-in-Progress (WIP) adjustments
- Review project contracts and specifications to ensure alignment with scope and deliverables
- Coordinate procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery to meet project schedules
- Lead client communication, including regular project updates, meetings, and issue resolution
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and support system programming as needed
- Conduct routine site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
- Manage pre-inspections and final inspections with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to ensure code compliance and project readiness
- Identify and manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle
- Partner with Account Executives to support estimates, proposals, and job walks as a technical expert
- Drive team performance by assigning tasks, monitoring productivity, and supporting development
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term growth
- Ensure adherence to all workplace safety standards, policies, and regulations
Position Requirements:
- 10+ years in construction and/or low voltage installation
- 5+ years installing low voltage in the Healthcare environment (Fire Life Safety systems)
- 5+ years in a leadership/management role
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
Physical Demands & work Environment:
- Repetitive substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Walk, drive, bend, stoop, hear, and speak
- Move/transport/install/remove items weighing 20 pounds occasionally
- Drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day
- Work is performed in an office and at customer sites which are hospitals and other medical facilities. There is exposure to external environment when going to other offices, meetings and customer sites.
- Work can be in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations.
- Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, high rise buildings, and/or hospitals with patient contact.
