We are looking for a PRN Crisis Counselor that will provide face-to-face crisis intervention services in the least restrictive manner to people experiencing a mental health emergency.
TO JOIN OUR TEAM, YOU'LL NEED:
- Crisis assessment and crisis intervention services experience to appropriately address the needs of consumers experiencing a psychiatric emergency
- Strong relationship building skills to cultivate relations with supervisory staff and consumers when dispositioning cares
- Ability to respond to de-escalating crisis, developing individualized plans, and following up to meet needs of consumers in crisis
- Strong organizational and time management skills to connect needed mental health and behavioral health services available in the community with children and families to improve health outcomes and prevent crises
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage & family therapy, psychology, or related field required or Registered Nurse (RN).
WE'RE ESPECIALLY LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO'S:
- Had minimum two years of clinical experience in the mental health field providing counseling, psychosocial assessment, or crisis consultation services
- Experience in crisis intervention services and conducts thorough psychosocial assessments and safety planning in the Emergency Department
SCHEDULE AVAILABLE: Nights and/or Weekends
THIS POSITION REQUIRES ALL PRN EMPLOYEES TO WORK ONE SHIFT PER PAY PERIOD
