• Supporting the patient through their surgical journey offering close care, education and support throughout patient recovery
• Help to maintain records for accreditation and assist with preparation for inspections as needed.
• Act as a liaison to ensure proper treatment coordination is in place.
• Collaborate with the Recovery Center Director on schedule coordination as well as direct the surgical flow of the center in real-time.
• Oversee and quality control patient charts, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
• Oversee the medical team and ensure timely ordering and replenishment of supplies.
• Always be a patient advocate and ensure continual focus on risk minimization as it relates to safety within the facility.
• Ensure timely maintenance of surgical equipment.
• Maintain medication inventory levels through daily counts, and place orders as necessary.
• Be the final check for all pre-operative and consent paperwork ensuring that all information is correct and present.
• A champion for safety with an understanding of correct emergency procedures including completing daily crash cart checks.

Qualifications:

• A team player **** This is very important
• Minimum 1-year experience in PACU / Plastic Surgery Recovery room
• RN or
• LVN or
• CNA
• Plastics and/or ENT experience preferred
• Proficient EMR systems
• Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, moving, lifting of equipment and/or patients up to 50 lbs
