    Healthtrax is looking for you to supervise our Group Fitness department.

    The Group Fitness Director is both the supervisor of Group Exercise Class Instructors and an instructor as well. Healthtrax showcases a variety of classes by MOSSA who will certify instructors to properly educate and guide participants through approved routines of safe exercises to motivating music and choreography. Participants can achieve health and fitness goals in a social, fun workout environment that accommodates a variety of populations and fitness levels.

    Flexible work schedule can be the Ideal part-time job for the fitness enthusiast with organizational and people skills. You will spend 10-15 hours a week of supervisory, administrative and reporting work which then frees you up be a regularly scheduled instructor in the classes you love to teach. Requires a flexible schedule potentially including nights and weekends, as needed.

    The work that fulfills you starts with your appetite for continual learning and passion for being best in class. The day in the life of involves ensuring the success of the Center’s group fitness class program including and not limited to:

    Staffing and directing the area’s most talented fitness instructors and building comradery among the team.

    Scheduling a wide variety of class offerings appealing to the diverse membership of the Center.

    Increasing class participation for improved member retention.

    Managing member and staff inquiries or complaints in timely manner.

    Monitoring class participation and cost per head, payroll and budgets accurately.

    Working well with Center staff, management, Company representatives and service providers in a collaborative manner to grow and ensure unwavering delivery of programs people love.

    The perfect person for the job has previous program coordination, supervision and group exercise class instruction experience.

    Proficiency in MOSSA® or Les Mills®, preferred.

    Must have AFAA, IDEA, ACSM or equivalent national group exercise/aerobic certification.

    Current CPR and First Aid Certification, required.

    Expected to complete and maintain required number of training hours to ensure quality level of instruction. Training and certification in specialty formats may be required.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online software for scheduling.

    Business acumen for reporting and understanding to the bottom line approach to business while adhering to Company SOP's.

    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with an understanding for the bottom-line and business approach to job performance.

    Physicality for lifting of equipment including weights, jumping, squatting, bending, walking, hopping, kicking , rhythm and an outgoing personality while performing choreographed routines in front of others.
