Elevate @ Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness is hiring a Registered Dietitian to launch nutritional counseling and join our fitness business serving our three locations in East Greenwich, Warwick and East Providence RI. You will play an integral role in motivating and educating our members as well as medical referrals on making healthy eating choices as a compliment to their fitness regime in order to best meet their lifelong wellness goals.

Has a positive can-do attitude to execute your annual business plan including 3rd party insurer billings
Go-getter who successfully promotes themselves and benefits of services to medical practitioners, employers, civic and community leaders as well as individuals
Active listener who can appropriately customize plans to individual’s goals and lifestyle and facilitate motivational interviewing for behavioral change
Believes in a whole foods approach to eating
Experience with counseling in general nutrition, weight loss/management, diabetes management, and meal planning
Acute awareness to adapt plan for patients with food allergies, auto-immune disorders, and/or chronic health conditions with ability to communicate with physicians to coordinate best practices for client
Instructs members about the meal plan, dietary and behavioral changes needed to reach goals
Audits self-reported consumption and exercise habits necessary and adjust plan as needed
Engage clients in other modalities including Healthtrax fitness programs for health improvement
Maintain reports and accurate records including participation, outcomes, income, expenses
Process claims and work with insurers
Provide timely follow-up, appointment reminders, confirmations and, or rescheduling
Promote the brand, be a cohesive team member, participate in Center and Company meetings
Comfortable teaching in a group environment to diverse populations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition / Health Sciences or related discipline
2 years’ experience providing nutritional planning, analysis, consultation and sales
Must be licensed in State and have NPI number.
Current with licensing and insurance policies and procedures
Effective written and verbal communications
Comfortable speaking in front of small groups
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Independent contractor position with opportunity to earn performance based commission
Hours to be determined part time with opportunity to grow
Office hours scheduled at three Rhode Island locations.
