    Are you a fitness professional who subscribes to the belief that exercise is 'medicine' and can inspire and guide the non-traditional exerciser to embark on a new journey of movement and improved function then this job is for you.

    p.r.e.p. is a 60-day physician referred exercise program that introduces patients to exercise. p.r.e.p. participants meet with Healthtrax Fitness Membership Coordinator twice per week in small group settings and have full access to all of the amenities at Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness. The p.r.e.p. team communicates with patients on a regular basis via email, phone, and in-person contact to monitor attendance, progress, and well-being throughout the program. The p.r.e.p. team is a resource for exercise instruction, education, and support. The most important aspect of p.r.e.p. is that it takes down all barriers to exercise and welcomes patients in a non-intimidating, comforting environment.

    POSITION OVERVIEW: The Fitness Membership p.r.e.p. Coordinator is passionate about helping others improve their health through exercise. They are the initial point of contact for designated clients and will be responsible for providing a safe, productive fitness membership experience, physician communications, prospecting and client conversions into new member sales.

    RESPONSIBILITIES, include but not limited to:

    Timely follow up with all p.r.e.p. referrals (Faxed to you or other) to schedule appointment. Ensure health history requirements are satisfied and understood before client appointment.

    Meet and greet p.r.e.p. walk-ins and, or scheduled appointments and conduct center tours.

    Prospect for potential p.r.e.p. members and potential annual paying members.

    Conduct fitness assessments with clients and evaluate their results.

    Facilitate p.r.e.p. sessions using supervised strength training circuit and appropriate cardiovascular equipment, duration and documentation of each workout session.

    Assess progress to ensure clients safety and that goals are reasonable and obtainable.

    Manage client files, schedules, reminders and document exercise progress in Claritas software.

    Confirm and, or reschedule missed appointments within 24 hours.

    Attend p.r.e.p. weekly meetings and other Center staff meetings and events.

    Follow up with physician liaison on a daily basis notifying him/her of physician referrals.

    Report p.r.e.p. activation rates and annual paying members’ rollover rates on a monthly basis.

    Respect client confidentiality.

    Provide feedback to Supervisor to improve client and employee experience.

    Ensure that the fitness floor and equipment is safe, clean, in working order and well maintained.

    Adherence to company standards as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

    Exhibit a desire for learning, research and continual growth for professional development.

    QUALIFICATIONS:1-3 years’ experience in fitness or wellness field with emphasis on customer service and sales.

    Certifications, preferably with one of the nationally recognized fitness elite: NSCA, ACSM, NASM, ACE as well as CPR/AED/First Aid. Certifications must be maintained and current during employment.

    Excellent verbal and written communications; organizational, time management and follow-up skills.

    Proven track record in effective people skills including establishing rapport, building engagement and maintaining retention.

    Proficient in Microsoft Suite and database platform for daily record keeping such as Claritas.
