    Healthworks Community Fitness is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to serving health and fitness needs of women and children in Dorchester, MA. We believe that all women, regardless of economic status, deserve access to high-quality fitness opportunities and health support so they can lead happier, healthier lives.

    The Member Services Associate plays a key role in the overall success of the organization by supporting fitness center operations.

    Job Description:

    -Deliver excellent customer service: warmly attend to all members and guests; enroll new members; give club tours; handle member issues

    -Clean and maintain club areas, including locker room and studios

    -Maintain club operations ensuring all aspects are well organized, including member files

    -Support projects designated by the Director Education/Certifications:

    -High School Equivalent or Higher, College graduate preferred

    -Current CPR/AED certification. Member Services Associate is responsible for maintaining current certification throughout employment Experience:

    -Experience with conflict resolution and active listening

    -Solid written/verbal communication skills

    -Computer-savvy and proficient at programs including Word and Excel Knowledge:

    -Learns and remains updated on HCF systems (Datatrak) and policies

    -Possesses fundamental knowledge of HCF programs, membership, and services or is able to access this information quickly

    -Understanding of and a commitment to the mission Ability:

    -Available to work hours that meet the operational needs of the club, especially evenings and Saturday mornings; these hours must be scheduled within the club setting

    -Able to multi-task, follow-up in a fast-paced environment;

    -Patient, positive, friendly and outgoing

    -Reliable and attentive to details

    -Follow and enforce all HCF policies

    -Frequently walk through all areas of the club to ensure a safe, esthetically-appealing environment

    -Daily club cleaning and maintenance

    Other:

    -Priority will be given to candidates who are bilingual

    -Residency in Dorchester a plus

    -Appreciation and respect for diverse populations

    -Positive, outgoing, customer service, and mission-driven individuals encouraged to apply

    Time Commitment:

    -Ideal candidate has work availability in the early mornings and evenings during the work week as well as flexibility to adjust schedule based on the operational needs of the club at the time
