    We're looking for a passionate Assistant Fitness Director (AFD) who wants to work for an innovative industry leader and be part of a team that is focused on making a real difference in women's lives.

    As a member of the team, our AFD plays an integral role in the overall success of our clubs and company. The AFD reports directly to the club's Fitness Director and General Manager.

    As an AFD at Healthworks you will have a broad set of responsibilities that include. . .

    Assisting with leading and managing the club's health and fitness programming (personal training, group training, and Pilates);

    Providing members with exceptional fitness experiences that are fun, safe, and cutting-edge;

    Managing our new member integration program and supporting members in reaching their fitness goals;

    Mentoring and coaching our personal training team;

    Training clients and leading teamTRAINING (small group training) programs;

    Creating, marketing, managing, and evaluating the teamTRAINING programs;

    Assisting in creating and managing the teamTRAINING budgets and control expenses;

    Support in monitoring and evaluating teamTRAINING participation levels and make recommendations for adjusting the schedule to maximize performance and drive revenue;

    Impacting member retention by providing members, guests and fellow team members with legendary service that enhances their sense of belonging and community within the clubs;

    Contributing to the efficient running of the day-to-day operations of the department and club;

    Serving as an integral member of the club's and company's management teams.

    We're looking for:

    An enthusiasm and passion for life, fitness and making a difference in the lives of others;

    Current Personal Training certification and CPR/AED certification;

    At least one year of Personal Training experience, understanding of exercise prescriptions and testing, and the ability to develop fitness programming;

    Personal training know-how with a track record of promoting and selling fitness programs;

    A commitment to providing top notch customer service;

    An upbeat, positive personality;

    A desire to be part of team and contribute in a meaningful way;

    An uncanny ability to multitask;

    Proficiency in using a computer;

    A willingness to work some weekends, evenings and holidays as needed;

    Bachelors or Masters in Exercise Physiology or relevant education/experience;

    Current Personal Training certification and CPR/AED certification.

    Additional certifications a plus.
