    Job Description

    The Finance Analyst will analyze financial data and make recommendations for strategies for overall growth and stability.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Establishes strategies for determining size of budgets for projects to meet customer needs.
    • Monitor budget projections and determine suitability for current project needs and timeline.
    • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data for projects currently being worked on and those in development.
    • Review past financial data to determine financial risk and success of previous initiatives to determine suitability for continued budgeting.
    • Develop innovative and effective solutions to problems in financial analysis, reporting and forecasting through individual effort and as part of a team.
    • Represent the Finance team as needed at management meetings.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

    • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).  
    • Minimum five (5) year previous experience as an A/P Accounting Staff / Manager.
    • PC proficient including MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office and spreadsheet programs.
    • Minimum three (3) years previous experience with Great Plains v.2018 Accounting Software
    • 4+ years of experience in a similar accounting role with supervisory responsibilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and applicable software systems.
    • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains required.
    • Fully competent in a variety of accounting and financial concepts, practices, and procedures with strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
    • Excellent analytical skills, ability to quickly understand P & L reports and isolate issues.
    • Excellent math ability and attention to detail.
    • Strong data entry skills required.
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving and communication (verbal and written) skills.
    • Ability to function in an office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, fax, copier, telephone.
    • Exceptional analytical skills
    • Proactive in identifying AR/Billing issues and providing solutions

      OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    • Extended hours may be necessary during high volume work loads.
    • Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Must have stable personality and ability to work with all types of employees, customers, and vendors.

This position works in an environment with moderate noise level. (Examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic). Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as telephone. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds. Ability to read and understand work instructions.
