    Heartwell Renewables is a unique joint venture between affiliates of The Love’s Family of Companies and Cargill to produce and market renewable diesel. Heartwell Renewables is the only entity of its kind to both manufacture and distribute this fuel all the way to the retail pump.

    The Love’s Family of Companies, Cargill and their affiliates have entered this unique 50/50 joint venture to produce and market renewable diesel – a green fuel experiencing strong, rising demand. The joint venture will result in the construction of a new production plant in Hastings, Nebraska. There will be an excess of 500 workers during construction and more than 80 permanent jobs in Hastings, Nebraska. The plant will have the ability to produce approximately 80 million gallons annually of renewable diesel.

    When considering the environmental benefits and performance enhancements of renewable diesel, the creation of Heartwell Renewables is a long-term win for not only the companies involved, but also for Nebraska, consumers, and the environment.

    JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

    Heartwell Renewables is accepting applications for an hourly load/unload technician position at our new facility in Hastings, NE. This position will be responsible for loading renewable diesel into rail cars, and unloading feedstocks from rail cars or trucks into bulk storage tanks. May perform a variety of other tasks relating to receipt and shipment of products such as pulling samples of products to be tested for product quality, perform visual and mechanical inspections on equipment, document and approve transport vessel integrity for shipment via rail.

    Heartwell Renewables is a unique joint venture between affiliates of The Love’s Family of Companies and Cargill to produce and market renewable diesel. Heartwell Renewables is the only entity of its kind to both manufacture and distribute this fuel all the way to the retail pump.

    · Live and demonstrate the Heartwell Renewables core values

    · Must be able to visually monitor computer screens and control points when assigned

    · Work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (including nights, holidays, and weekends)

    · Adhere to all company safety policies and requirements

    · Must be available for on-call/relief duties

    · Loads renewable diesel into rails cars. Unloads feedstocks from truck or rail cars.

    · Monitors product movement to and from storage tanks, coordinating activities with other workers to ensure constant product flow.

    · Operates industrial equipment to move rail cars to and from loading areas

    · Checks conditions and weights of vessels to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures and all other applicable regulations.

    · Inspects and ensures all shipping vessels are mechanically sound, leak free, properly labeled, and ready for shipment per applicable regulations.

    · Accurately records loading information such as products and quantities pumped, gauge readings, and operating times, manually or using computers.

    · Making periodic rounds per shift, monitoring the tank levels and transfers, tank gauging, collecting samples, monitoring load/unload operations, equipment isolation (LOTO), coordinating with the rail road for rail switches

    · Detect and respond to leaks and other emergency situations and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff

    · Maintain a clean work area

    · Other duties as assigned

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    · At least 18 years of age

    · Valid driver’s license

    · Have the ability to obtain TWIC card if necessary

    · Must have a High School Diploma or GED

    · Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule and overtime as required by business needs

    · Be fit to perform the essential functions of the job. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 40 lbs; climb ladders; enter confined spaces; and wear all required PPE

    · Adhere to a strict Drug and Alcohol policy

    · Basic math, reading, writing, and verbal skills along with basic computer skills

    · Other minimum qualifications may apply

    PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES

    · Relevant experience loading and unloading trucks and railcars with liquid products

    · DCS operation experience

    · Instrumentation/equipment knowledge and experience

    · 2 years of experience working in an agricultural, industrial, or commercial industry

    · Experience working in a Renewable/Bio Diesel, Vegetable Oil refining, Oil and Gas Industry, Hydro processing or another PSM regulated facility

    · Operational experience in a renewable diesel, utilities, or pretreatment unit
