    ****Heartwell Renewables is a unique joint venture between affiliates of The Love’s Family of Companies and Cargill to produce and market renewable diesel. Heartwell Renewables is the only entity of its kind to both manufacture and distribute this fuel all the way to the retail pump.

    The Love’s Family of Companies, Cargill and their affiliates have entered this unique50/50 joint venture to produce and market renewable diesel – a green fuel experiencing strong, rising demand. The joint venture will result in the construction of a new production plant in Hastings, Nebraska. There willbe an excess of 500 workers during construction and more than 80 permanent jobs in Hastings, Nebraska. The plant will have the ability to produce approximately80 million gallons annually of renewable diesel.

    When considering the environmental benefits and performance enhancements of renewable diesel, the creation of Heartwell Renewables is a long-term win for not only the companies involved, but also for Nebraska, consumers, and the environment.

    JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

    The Maintenance Engineer will apply technical knowledge to deliver continuous improvement in process and asset reliability through the detection and elimination of defects. In this role, you will partner with the team to ensure the fulfillment of reliability engineering strategies.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Implement moderately complex reliability excellence activities and identify and prioritize reliability engineering value creation opportunities.
    • Execute the identification and elimination of bad actors and the optimization of equipment availability.
    • Execute the development, design and installation of predictive maintenance programs and technology in alignment with the area procedures.
    • Collaborate with maintenance planner and technical writer to ensure proper standard operating procedures and job plans are produced when necessary.
    • Prepare technical reviews of moderately complex projects and collaborate with related areas on new equipment reliability specifications.
    • Collaborate with and provide guidance to maintenance repairs and production in reliability related processes and the identification of critical spares.
    • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff including regional resources.
    • Other duties as assigned

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of two years of related work experience
    • Minimum 2 years of related Manufacturing Industry experience
    • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
    • Other minimum qualifications may apply

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Engineering degree (Electrical or Mechanical)
    • Strong trouble-shooting and analytical skills
    • Petrochemical or Refinery experience preferred
    • 4 years experience in industrial mechanical equipment
    • Solid knowledge in the application of reliability tools
    • Knowledge in maintenance process management
    • Knowledge of the concepts of Risk Assessment, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Management of Change
    • Project management experience
    • Experience creating complex tests and analysis
    • Predictive maintenance technologies experience
