We are in search of a part-time babysitter for our two-year old son with afternoon availability from 12- 5:30 two or three days a week, and availability from 4:00- 5:30 on the other days. We have some flexibility in our schedules so are open to discussing different possible scheduling options. We would also be delighted to work out regular date nights (approx. 1-2 per month) if of interest for a babysitter. My husband and I both work in public health, and we are a Covid conscious household. We are looking for a nanny or sitter who is fully vaccinated and boosted, would be open to discussing their home practices with us, and would be willing to use rapid at home test kits that we would provide until our son can be fully vaccinated himself. Our son L. is curious, gentle, and easygoing, with a love for reading books, drawing and painting, and understanding how objects of all kinds are assembled! The main responsibilities would be to pick L. up from his pre-school, give him lunch, put him down for a nap, and play with him when he wakes up. Light house help, like putting away L.'s toys and light tidying of the kitchen when he is asleep are secondary responsibilities. We think this could be a great job for a student, as our son naps from 1:30-4pm so there is time for reading or homework (very likely but not guaranteed!). We are looking for an upbeat, caring, and warm babysitter who is also punctual and reliable. We are in Park Slope.
