    THIS ROLE IS REMOTE, WITH AN IDEAL BASE LOCATION IN LOS ANGELES, COVERING A TERRITORY FROM LA TO SAN DIEGO. 

    WHAT THE ROLE IS 

    The purpose of the Samson & Surrey Bar Operations Specialist is to serve as a deeply knowledgeable representative for the Samson & Surrey portfolio of spirits brands, focusing on driving awareness, trial and education of our world-class caliber stable of craft spirits.

    HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME? 

    The Bar Operations Specialist will focus primarily on gaining new points of distribution, conducting staff trainings, securing menu placements and features, building strong relationships with identified key industry influencers, and executing both trade and consumer-facing events on behalf of our brands. This work will be executed primarily in the role's home market but will include regional and sometimes national travel to meet these objectives for the company. To achieve these goals, the Bar Operations Specialist will leverage the strengths of the Commercial, Marketing, and Advocacy teams within Samson & Surrey.

    WHO YOU ARE… (REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS)

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience - specifically minimum 5 years bartending/bar operations experience
    • Deep connections within home market bartending & beverage trade community
    • Excellent public speaking & presentation skills
    • Flexibility to frequently work nights and weekends
    • Experience working with craft brand(s) preferred
    • US Beverage alcohol industry experience 
    • In-depth knowledge and passion for spirits, their history, and production
    • Responsible use of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
    • Ability to use technology in presentations, tool building, and reporting
    • Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills
    • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
    • Exceptional ability to follow-up with market teams, accounts, and other partners
    • Network of influencers in the spirits industry
    • Ability to travel to markets outside the home market as required to perform job function
    • Valid driver's license
    • Must be at least 21 years of age

    The salary range established for this position is $65,000-75,000. Actual starting pay may differ based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
