What the Role Is

The Environmental & Sustainability Intern will support the Environmental & Sustainability team in shaping positive environmental impact through data management across Heaven Hill's four sustainability initiatives: use water more efficiently, drive toward zero carbon emissions, reduce waste, and conserve the ecosystems that support our business. **
**

This is an 8-10 hour a week position with flexible hours after training.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

• Enter data for key sustainability metrics of water, carbon emissions, waste, and conservation across all Heaven Hill facilities into a cloud-based data management system.
• Assist in merging existing data from current data warehouse to new cloud-based data management system.
• Analyze data for anomalies in consumption against plausibility thresholds.
• Manage and electronically file a variety of invoices in an organized manner.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.

Who You Are…

• Currently enrolled at a college or university pursuing requirements for a degree program, ideally within Environmental Science or Sustainability
• Ability to learn quickly and apply learning to tasks
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Physical Requirements
While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

The hourly rate established for this position is $17.00. Actual starting pay may differ based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
