**Heavy Duty Mechanic

** St Louis, MO Pay: $32–$42/hour (based on experience)Shift: 1st Shift Monday–Friday, hours are flexible

**Position Summary:

**

We are seeking

skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. This role focuses on the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of medium duty trucks and a variety of heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with diesel engines, ability to read a wiring diagram, etc

**Key Responsibilities:

**

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and heavy equipment.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Conduct engine overhauls, brake jobs, transmission repairs, and other major component work.

• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues.

• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

• Collaborate with other mechanics and supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.

**Qualifications:

**

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a heavy-duty mechanic, preferably with Ford trucks and construction equipment.

• Proficiency in diesel engine repair and diagnostics.

• Familiarity with hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and welding is a plus.

• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Salary info:
